Hero

SummaryEdit

Heroes are a type of cards in Artifact. You have to choose 5 of them per deck. They come with a special card, unique to that hero, three copies of which are automatically added to your deck. This way, 15 cards of your deck are pre-defined depending on the heroes you chose. At the start of the game, three of your five heroes are distributed randomly to the lanes (one hero in each lane). After that, you can deploy the fourth and fifth hero on turns two and three. Heroes cost no mana to deploy, and if they die, they can be redeployed after a turn passes, but a few abilities change this. Having a hero of a certain color in lane will allow you to play spells of that color while in that lane.

As of 2018-08-31, there are said to be 48 heroes in Artifact. Out of them, 39 are from Dota 2 (out of possible 116), 9 are brand new (
