Items are a special type of Artifact cards that are purchased for Gold Icon.png Gold. Gold is acquired by killing heroes or creeps. To learn more about the mechanics of buying items, visit the Shop page.

Items that are bought from the shop by the enemy are distinguished by an orange outline, to make it easier to keep track of the enemy's hand.

Hero Items[edit]

Hero items are a vital part of most decks and strategies, and are the only category of items that can be influenced by the player (by constructing an Item deck)

Those items work by equipping them on a hero of your choice. The item then provides it's passive bonuses to the Hero, and it's active ability might be used as long as the hero isn't dead (the specifics of using active abilities are unknown for now)

New items will override old ones and they will stay on the hero even after death.[1].

The subcategories of Hero Items determine which slot will be used when equipping a bought item on your hero.

  • Weapons - Weapons generally improve the offensive capabilities of the hero, most of the time by increasing the damage output.Though some weapons provide other bonuses and utility, aswell.
  • Armor - Armor items improve the survivability of your heroes by providing them with additional armor. Some of these items provide additional buffs to your hero, or debuffs to your attackers.
  • Accessories - Accessories improve the survivability of your heroes by raising their health. Most accessories also provide useful active abilities.

Consumables[edit]

Consumable items provide the player with much needed ... in the early game by allowing you to influence the state of the game without having much mana to spend. These items provide a wide range of effects, like healing, drawing additional cards, teleporting and so on. It must be noted that these items, unlike others, are consumed upon use.

Secret shop items[edit]

Items from the secret shop are, mostly, special hero items that are more expensive and powerful than regular ones. Unlike usual hero items, they don't come from your item deck, but from a list of cards that is the same for every player. Therefore, you cannot be certain that an item you drew from the secret shop will be beneficial to your strategy.
